NERO® Weapon Strike

Objective
1) To add variety to fighting skills, and to give mainly fighters more skills to help augment their skills.
Weapon Strikes- This system will help add diversity to the fighting styles in the NERO combat system. Skills are purchased in a pyramid fashion much like spells are purchased.
Call Phrase – All weapon strikes have a call phrase that must be said before the strike lands. In most case the incant is “Weapon Strike ”.
Landing Weapon Strikes – For a weapon strike to take effect, it must be a valid hit. If the strike is blocked or stopped by some other ingame effect (such as a parry or Magic Armor) then the strike does not land, but the skill is still used. Weapon Strikes are one shot effects.
The exception to this rule is Disarm and Shatter, if one of the Weapon Strikes are used and the target is a weapon or shield, of these items are used to block the Strike, the effect still works, but protectives and parrys will still work against these attacks.
Effect Durations – In cases where Weapon Strike Effects have associated spells, then the Weapon Strike follows the same rules for the spell. This includes durations and ability to remove effects.
